Born and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, Laura Surynt is a writer and teacher currently based in Oxford. In her writing she is interested in domestic spaces, time, and collectivism. She was shortlisted for the 2024 Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize and longlisted for the 2022 Desperate Literature Prize. She is currently working on a novel.
